Dr Unni Krishnan Pillai

BDS, MDS, MSc (Manchester), FRACDS (GDP), FRACDS (Endo)


Dr Unni is the principal dentist at Keperra Dental Surgery.


Dr Unni has a wealth of clinical experience gained from practising dentistry for over 20 years. He is passionate about dentistry and has a keen interest in clinical teaching. He is a senior lecturer and clinical academic at the School of Dentistry, The University of Queensland.


As well as his dental degree, Dr Unni holds two dental Master’s degrees and two fellowships from the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons), one in general dental practice and another in the specialist stream of endodontics.


He believes in minimally invasive dentistry and is a strong advocate of the use of high magnification (microscope assisted) dentistry.

Dr Unni is also registered as a specialist endodontist with the Australian Dental Board and undertakes specialist root canal treatment (Endodontics) by appointment.

When not involved with dentistry Dr Unni is usually taking lessons on communication skills from his teenage daughter and 5-year-old son.

Dr Adam Teo BOralH, GDipDent


Dr. Adam Teo graduated with a Bachelor of Oral Health and Graduate Diploma of Dentistry from Griffith University in 2010. He has since worked in many different facilities within Queensland Health and at multiple school facilities. Within these 6 years, he has got involved in all different specialties and aspects of dentistry but became passionate for the basic fundamentals of helping people and gaining their trust in a profession which can make people very anxious. Adam  has a special interest in a more uncommon area of dentistry in sleep medicine and realised the lack of awareness in the general public of how the common snoring issue can lead to many medical problems.

Dr Lijin Jayaraj 


Dr. Lijin Jayaraj is an associate dentist at Keperra. He has obtained a Bachelor of Oral Health (Dental Science) and a Graduate Diploma of Dentistry, both of which he completed at Griffith University.  Throughout his years of studying, Dr. Lijin has worked in rural QLD and metro QLD and has gained significant experience treating patients with all kinds of dental needs.

Dr. Lijin has a particular interest in preventive dentistry, with an immense belief that early detection is vital in preventing decay and gum disease. Dr. Lijin is passionate about relieving patient anxiety in the dental chair and instilling confidence by helping patients with their oral health. His gentle and caring approach allows for patients to have a pain-free and comfortable experience in the dental chair.

Dr. Lijin enjoys all areas of General Dentistry, with a special interest in Oral Surgery and Crown/Bridgework. As a member of the Australian Dental Association, he regularly attends workshops and courses to keep updated on his skills and knowledge.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Lijin loves playing cricket and tennis and maintaining a healthy fitness regime. Other interests of his include spending time with family, friends and cooking.

Dr Laura Truong
Dr Laura completed her studies at Griffith University, graduating with a Bachelor of Oral Health (Dental Science) and a Graduate Diploma of Dentistry. She has always had a passion for art and science, which is what inspired her to pursue a career in dentistry.
Laura has an easy-going personality which helps with putting anxious and young patients at ease. With a calm and gentle demeanour, she strives to make every patient’s experience a friendly and enjoyable one. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry particularly paediatrics, prosthodontics and oral surgery. Laura likes to broaden her knowledge and skills by attending various continuing professional development courses so that she can provide the best and most up-to-date treatments for her patients.
Outside of work, Laura enjoys being an avid foodie, rock climbing and spending time with loved ones.
